About Ipamorelin
- What it is
- Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide that acts as a selective growth hormone secretagogue, binding the ghrelin receptor to trigger release of growth hormone from the pituitary. Unlike some related compounds it does not meaningfully raise cortisol or prolactin. It was investigated in human trials for postoperative ileus but development was discontinued after it did not show clear efficacy, and it is not approved for any use.
