- Retatrutide is an investigational peptide that activates three metabolic hormone receptors at once, namely GIP, GLP-1, and glucagon. By engaging all three it increases insulin release, curbs appetite, and raises energy expenditure, producing large reductions in body weight and liver fat in trials.
